Venus of Willendorf

this year will mark 17 years i’ve been a witch. in all those years i have never felt any pull to worship any one deity.

i’ve never really tried to find anyone and i’ve been open for anyone wanting to lay claim to me. so far, no one.

in the last 3 years, i’ve been noticing things. and within the last few weeks, there’s been more noticing. it led me to just yell out that you need to hit me with a clue by four if you want me.

and it might have hit me last night.

she goes by the name Venus of Willendorf. i know i found her long ago and somehow got a magnet version of her. the figure is one of the oldest ever found and it’s all guess work who she is and what she was for.

i remember the first time seeing her thinking i have that same body. she is not all thin and lithe. she was a woman, fully formed. i felt like she was me, she was a part of me.

and last night, out of nowhere, i started off Goggleing her and looking and found her.

and this morning, i am rereading her Wikipedia article and she was found near Willendorf, Austria. a bit more Goggleing and she was found some 500 off miles away from where my family comes from in Germany.

she could have been made by my ancestors.

i’m getting her. i’m gonna try to make her a pretty place.

and we will see what happens from there.
